So, apparently once was not enough. During the construction of the toterhome in 2010, we continuously heard "...never again..." uttered (in that this type of thing would never be done by us again). Well, times change. Racers don't like to be passed on the racetrack and they don't like to be passed getting to the race track either. As a result of this flaw, the team undertook the challenge of upgrading the toterhome built in 2010 to gain a few (hundred) horsepower.
Of course, we didn't want to waste the effort from just a few short years ago, so the decision was made to retain the living quarters in this new toterhome. Based on the image below, can anyone figure out what is about to happen? Anyone?
If you didn't figure it out, the next few photos should clue you in.
That's right, the living quarters were lifted up, the previous truck was pulled out and the new truck was backed in place. The living quarters, were then lowered into place and we were in business. It really wasn't as easy as it sounds, but it was still completed in an afternoon. After many, many more hours, the toterhome has been completed and is ready for its maiden voyage to the racetrack.
